Borealis successfully developed, owned and managed over 5,000 rooms across Europe resulting in over 50 deals with an aggregated value of over €2 billion, crowned with most recent successful sale of The Vincent Hotel Group. Having worked in favorable and adverse market conditions the company has always been able to create value for all stakeholders involved.

Development

Borealis is focused on green field developments and conversions of buildings across key cities and transportation hubs in Europe. Borealis offers an attractive alternative to landlords owning (vacant) space in European markets particular given the team’s experience of opening new branded hotels in time and on budget, resulting in a product that takes fair market share from the start.

Management

Borealis Management Company is a hotel management company active in the Benelux operating multiple hotels under the major brands of IHG, Marriott, Hilton and Accor. The company has an experienced team of seasoned hotel professionals delivering the best results for all stakeholders involved, while always putting guest satisfaction and customer service as number one priority.

About

The Borealis Group was founded 20 years ago 1997 by Mr. Bart van de Kamp as a Dutch-based investment, development and management company, focusing on the hospitality and leisure market in major capital cities and airport locations across Europe.

The Group has all expertise under the Borealis Umbrella, as real estate investor, long term lessee, contractor and operator, the company is able to move swiftly and efficient offering its stakeholders creative solutions and an unique set of skills.

The team behind Borealis has completed over €2 billion of hotel related transactions since 1997.

In 2015, the company successfully sold one if its subsidiaries; The Vincent Hotel Group (TVHG) comprising of 1,906 rooms through conversions of office buildings in The Netherlands. In so doing the team have supported landlords and property owners by reinvigorating old and empty commercial buildings, replacing nonperforming assets with profitable successful ones. All  of these 11 open and operating hotels have: (i) Been created in vacant office buildings near major transport infrastructure and (ii) Carry International Brands from Major companies such as IHG and Hilton.

Borealis continued its expansion across Europe with a promising development pipeline of around 2,000 keys supported multi development agreement and preferred partnerships with the key brands in place.

With the Novotel Schiphol and the Ibis Budget Amsterdam City South in operation and multiple projects of Hilton, IHG and Marriott underway in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Brussels, the Hague, Frankfurt and Utrecht the company is further strengthening its position as preferred hotelier in Europe. Offering expertise from the select service segment towards the upscale lifestyle segment.
